FAQCommon questions
How much does a bore cost?
Every job is different, so we quote each one. The price depends on how deep we need to drill, the bore size and casing, the time taken to develop the bore, and where the property is.
Is there water under my property?
There's almost always water under a property somewhere. The real questions are how much there is and whether it's any good. That takes experience to judge, and it's what we do. For properties you're thinking of buying, our Pre-Purchase Bore Report gives you the evidence from nearby bores first.
Do I need approval to drill a bore?
It depends on where the property is. Some areas need a water licence or development approval. We'll check what applies with you before we start.
Do I need a licensed driller?
Yes. Water bore drillers must hold the appropriate driller licence. Unlicensed drilling can damage aquifers and the surrounding environment, and it leaves you exposed if something goes wrong.
Is drilling noisy?
The rig can be noisy, so it's worth letting your neighbours know. Drilling also brings up waste material, which we contain.
